10 OLD BAILEY

10 Old Bailey offers eight floors of premium office space in the heart of London. In collaboration with Virtuoso Interiors and client Longmead Capital, Optelma designed, manufactured, and supplied a tailored range of lighting solutions to meet both Cat A and Cat B specifications.

The upper floors were fitted out to a Cat A standard, featuring the new Quad X profile with integrated LED light sources. Custom-length profiles with bespoke endcaps were supplied to enable seamless installation within ceiling tiles.

Recessed Quad W lighting was installed on each floor to accentuate the building’s distinctive curved glass atrium, which extends through its central core.

The Hiro profile was used across all floors to create an elegant border while providing functional illumination—particularly important on the lower ground floor where natural light is limited.

On the ground and lower ground levels, additional lighting was required for areas such as the business lounge, boardrooms, and reception. A combination of Circus pendants, the Hiro profile, and recessed Quad F lighting was used to define each space and enhance the decorative, premium aesthetic.

In the main reception, continuous runs of the Graze profile were integrated into slatted wooden features that rise from floor level and wrap around the space to the lift lobby. Additional mini-profile lighting was used to illuminate the reception desk and signage areas.

LED downlights were specified for all W/C facilities.

A Casambi control system is used throughout, incorporating PIR sensors with daylight linking to maximize energy efficiency. Emergency lighting is integrated within all fixtures.
